RAG

What is RAG?

RAG stands for ‘Raising And Giving’. Each year DIT’s Students Union will raise money for our chosen chary through events across the year. Every year students can nominate deserving charities which are then asked to come in and present themselves to your Student Council. The Councillors then vote on who they would like to support for the year. This year ISPCC Childline was chosen as our RAG charity for 2016/17.

What is the ISPCC?

The Irish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (ISPCC) is Ireland’s national child protection charity.

Their mission is to make the protection of children everyone’s priority.

The ISPCC is funded almost 80 per cent by donations.

For more information you can visit their website www.ispcc.ie

How can i get involved?

We will be hosting a wide range of events over the course of the year from bucket shakes to RAG events but we can’t achieve our goal without the help of volunteers. If you would like to host your own event from a bake sale to a sponsored skydive contact Diarmuid our VP for Events for more information.
