What is Student Council

Student council is our (DIT Students' Union aka DITSU) highest decision making body. It represents the the voices and opinions of the student body (18,000 students) both locally to the DIT and on a national level.

What does Student Council Do?

The main role of Student Council is to set out policies and mandates for us, to oversee the work that we do and to hold our elected officers to account.

How do I become a Student Councillor?

Student Councillors are elected by each DIT sites Class Reps. You can download a form here. You can pick up a student councillor nomination form from your Student Advsior or your College Officer at your local SU office
