Does your Class Rep deserve an Award?

April 21, 2017

Hello friends!

I hope that you’re doing well. As we come to the end of another great year here in DITSU, all of us in the Union want to make sure that the Class Reps who’ve work hard on your behalf all year are recognised for their efforts.

The ‘Top Rep’ Awards are now an annual event that recognises the excellent work done by many of our Class Reps, who regularly go above and beyond for their class, and are committed, enthusiastic and most importantly effective in the role.

If your Class Rep has done good work throughout the year why not nominate them for this Award. Please click here:

It’s quick and straightforward to do and simply by nominating you might win a prize too!

Some important things to consider when nominating your Rep include:

  • How effective is your Rep in raising issues on behalf of the Class?
  • Are they good at liaising with the lecturers / School about students’ concerns?
  • Do they keep your class notified of useful DIT updates?
  • Do they regularly inform the class on important DITSU campaigns and other useful information?
  • Do they keep the Class informed about the issues being discussed at the Programme Committee meetings / give you updates on these meetings?
  • Do they organise class events and activities?

All Class Reps nominated will go forward to the Selection panel convened for each of the four Colleges who will decide on one overall winner per College (Business, Arts & Tourism, Engineering & Built Environment, and Sciences & Health).

This year’s Nominations are now open and will close at 5pm on Monday, 1st May.

The names of the 4 Top Reps will be announced at the DITSU Inauguration and Recognition Ceremony on May 3rd in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 2.

Best,

Kieron
