Q6A Feedback
Student Feedback - the Q6Aform
Semester 2 is nearly over – How was it for you?Student Feedback on every module is collected at the end of each semester on the Q6a Form. By
filling out this form every student has the chance to express their opinion on how their modules
were delivered – everything from teaching methods, module content and assessments to facilities
like lecture rooms and the Library.
By now all you students should be getting a Q6A form for each module from the relevant
Lecturer(s), in hard copy, on Webcourses or by email to your student email address. It’s an
important opportunity so when you get the form please fill it in honestly. If you were happy with
the way the module was taught then say so. If you weren’t, then spell out what was wrong clearly
and fairly. You can have your say and improve your programme at the same time.
Giving students opportunities to comment on the standard of their education is a fundamental
principle of EU policy and third level education in Ireland. The National Qualifications Authority of
Ireland, the body that monitors quality assurance in DIT wants to see that all students are enabled to
voice opinions and their suggestions, criticisms and comments and that these are addressed.
The Students’ Union wants to know that the forms are being distributed. Our aim is to ensure that
students’ right to have a direct say in how their education in delivered.
If you didn’t get a Q6A form for all your Semester 1 modules, please let your Class Rep know
(they’ll pass it on to us), contact your local Students’ Union or get in touch with Clare Cullen, the
Vice-President Academic and Student Affairs vpacademic@ditsu.ie
