Hey Everyone!
Hope everyone has settled in nicely and everything is going well, don't forget, John and myself are down here in the office to answer any questions or help you find the people that will.
Things have been pretty busy since Fresher's Week (which was epic!), I have been trying to get around to as many classes to elect class reps, so if your class does not have a class rep elected yet drop into the office of drop me an email with the best place to catch your class!
For all you Portland Row students I know you started the year with no microwave but this has been sorted and there should be a replacement there this week. Also for those who want lockers in Portland Row they are available from Stephen Shanley in the Cathal Brugha accounts office between 10.30 and 11.30 Monday to Friday.
For all the class reps, our first Class Rep Meeting will be held this Wednesday the 12th at 1pm in room 304. Also anyone who is running for election for any position needs to be at the Class Rep Meeting or write a brief letter outlining who you are, the position you are running for and why people should vote for you.
And FINALLY just letting you know that Class Rep and Governing Council Training will be held this Friday in the Radisson Blu Hotel, drop down to the office for more information!

First of all welcome to all the new fresher’s, I know I met a lot of you over inductions week last week and I look forward to meeting the rest of you in the coming year, don’t hesitate to stop me and say hello! J
Inductions week went off great, lots of free stuff and a few too many energy drinks! A big thanks to the MSQ inductions team – Emma, Rory, Eve and of course the lovely David Keogan for coming to help out with our inductions!
Fresher’s week started off with a BANG last night with the 90’s party in D2 which was a sell out, BOOM! Looking forward to a messy paint party tonight in Break for the Border, the rest of fresher’s nights this week and of course the fresher’s ball next week!
Also just to make you all aware our lovely Student Support Advisor (SSA) Orla has moved to the Bolton Street campus, sad times for MSQ good times for BST! However we are very lucky to have our super new Information Assistant (IA) John May!
Anyway I hope you all are settling in this week and enjoying being back to the college banter, I hope to get around to most of you ASAP to get your class reps elected.
Whatever else I have forgotten I will add it to my next blog, check out toast for tips on accommodation, finance travel and site updates!
