Union of Students Ireland Annual Congress:
30th March  -2nd April 2010

USI Annual Congress kicks off next semester on the 30th of March and runs up until the 2nd of April. Any student may apply and closing date is 5.00pm sharp on the February 18th 2010. Congress is a place where all student  representatives from all over Ireland get to debate and mandate USI. It is a great opportunity to have an input on how our National Union runs while also getting the chance to socialise with other peers. Everything is paid for and you get to represent DIT at a national level. If you are good at speaking in public, have an opinion on just about anything and are interested in getting involved please email Claire at administrator@ditsu.ie

POOL COMPETITION

Congratulations to Wayne Doyle who won the overall pool competition here in Kevin Street.  Well done and thank you to Wayne and everyone involved for not only taking part but raising money for this years RAG charity Our Ladys Childrens Hospital, Crumlin.

THE SNACKERY

If you're wondering who the lovely gentleman is who is always there to help with any pool table issues, video game problems, wonder no more. His name is John and he is Kevin Streets secret weapon, although not literally, cos he's all about the love...say hi.  John knows everything that's worth knowing, and if on the off chance he doesn't, he'll be able to point you in the right direction.

PS Watch out for the Pool Competition running at the moment. All in aid of this years RAG Charity; the  Children’s Medical & Research Foundation, Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

THE SU SHOP

Jack and Marina are the lovely people that work very hard to meet all your needs. Be patient, its a very small and very busy place!

Coffee is now only 1.50 in the Students' Union Shop and its not just hot wet muck, its Insomnia no less.  Caffeine kicks are even cheaper than before!

The Student Union also has lab coats and other class materials in stock, so you don't have to go very far for all our mad scientist needs....
