Are You Ready to Play a Star Role for the Island of Ireland?

Are you a ‘cosmopolitan’ from Cork City or avid about Armagh?  Do you treasure Tipperary or can you trail blaze through Tyrone?  Are you a Dublin ‘culture vulture’ or a Belfast bohemian?  Can you be a giant of a guide for Northern Ireland's Causeway Coast or can you help us sample Sligo?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Tourism Ireland isl ooking for you.

Tourism Ireland is once again launching a search for a number of individuals or families to star in a series of short online movies to help promote the island of Ireland overseas. Each film will follow a local person or family on a brief ‘travelogue’ of their county or city. Casting will take place for Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast, in Tipperary, Sligo, Cork City, Tyrone and Armagh; we will also include one film delivering ‘a tale of two cities’–highlighting some of the fantastic cultural options available for visitors to Dublin and Belfast.

Those interested in taking part are invited to email ireland@anotheravenue.comincluding their full name, contact details, a recent photograph and a short paragraph on the locality they wish to share with the world.  Alternatively, please free phone 1800 848 909 (ROI version) or 0800 622 6821 (Northern Ireland version) and leave your name and contact details.

About Filming

  • We need initial applicants to be over 18 years of age, but we are also looking for families with children.  There is no maximum age limit.
  • We are looking for a wide range of people, the most important criteria being your passion and enthusiasm for promoting your locality to the world.
  • We will be filming in Cork City, Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast, Tyrone and Armagh, CountySligo and CountyTipperary.  We will also be shooting ‘a tale of two cities’, highlighting some of the fantastic cultural options available for visitors to Dublin and Belfast.
  • Each programme will take up to two days to film.  Our shooting schedule runs from early February until the end of March.  Filming days will be mutually agreed upon in advance.
  • Interested people should e-mail or call (details above) and leave your contact details.  One of our production team will be in touch to chat about you and your area.
  • A shortlist of candidates will be drawn up and these people will have an opportunity to meet with the director of the film for an in-depth chat at the end of January.  This will be filmed.
  • Everyone who gets in contact with us, by e-mail or telephone, will be contacted by a member of our production team.
  • As this is a documentary, there are no fees paid to participants.  However, reasonable travel expenses will be paid and refreshments provided on filming days.

Email:  ireland@anotheravenue.com

Please include your full name, contact details, a recent photograph and a short paragraph on the locality you wish to share with the world.

Please leave your full name and contact details.
