International & Erasmus Students
Deciding to move thousands of miles across the globe to study in a foreign country is a daunting prospective, but it could also be the best adventure of your life! International students have different needs from Irish students.
Your questions may not be able DIT itself but about Dublin city, accommodation, culture and things to do. You also may be interested in traveling around the country while you are here. We can offer you information on all of that – and anything else that you can think of. No question is too big or too small from finding your class to sitting an exam to where to get the best pint of Guinness, don’t be afraid to call down to your local SU office and they will be only too glad to help.
There are some particular issues that from experience we know may be of interest to you (find the links below). We suggest that you look through both the DIT website and this website so that you are as fully informed before making the decision to come to DIT.
- Accommodation
- International Office
- General Assessment Regulations
- Cheating and Plagarism
- International Society
Its not all about work though and throughout the year we at the Students’ Union will organise trips to various places of interest. These trips are also a great way to meet international and Erasmus students as well as the odd Irish student and there isn’t a better way to see the beautiful Irish countryside. One of our most successful trips is right here in Dublin. Every year we take a group to Croke Park to watch a GAA match on St. Patricks Day. It is an experience you will never forget!
